I’m working at my desk on multiple deadlines, but that’s not stopping me from thinking about photo excursions. If you’re a CreativePro Magazine subscriber, you can read my new article on Using Location Data in Lightroom.
This is a timely release, because just this morning I was trying to figure out where in the Sierra Nevada I captured some images last year (like the one featured above). Most cameras still don’t include a way to add GPS coordinates to photos. Fortunately, I also captured some snapshots using my iPhone, which does embed the location data to its images, so I could copy that to my Fujifilm raw files.
There are surprisingly several methods to attaching location data to photos in Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, and the Lightroom for mobile apps. In this article I cover all the options.
