One-Day Pike Place Market Photography Workshop
[Update: We had a great time shooting and editing photos at the market. I’m currently working on scheduling the next one. Interested? Send me an email to help me figure out the best date!]
Next date TBD
Photos are our memories, and we’re taking more of them than ever. I’ll guide a small group through historic and photogenic Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle that will help you see the world with more creative eyes; learn how to capture and organize your photos so you don’t lose track of them later; and edit the images to look their best.
We’ll spend a few hours photographing one of Seattle’s most vibrant locations, from the iconic Public Market sign to the famous Gum Wall, and then grab lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll settle in for three hours of instruction at The Makers Space. Bring a camera you’re comfortable using—whether that’s a DSLR, mirrorless, or mobile phone—and an eye for exploration! I’ll provide beverages and snacks during the afternoon session; the cost of lunch is up to each attendee.
To edit the images you capture, bring a laptop or tablet. If you don’t have one to bring, you can follow along with the demonstration.
Participants will also receive copies of my books “Take Control of Your Digital Photos” and “Take Control of Lightroom CC” (electronic copies, a $30 value, both published in 2018 by Take Control Books, takecontrolbooks.com)
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Pike Place Market and The Makers Space
Spots: Maximum of 7 attendees
