[The last workshop was great, and now I’m looking to schedule more photo workshops. I’ll post details when they’re ready.]

Downtown Seattle is a wonder to photograph any time of year, but the holidays are a special treat! Join me for a one-day photo workshop that will include iconic Pike Place Market and the surrounding area both in daylight and, thanks to the season’s shorter days, at sunset and dusk when the city’s holiday decorations are lit up.

I’ll guide a small group through historic and photogenic areas of downtown Seattle, helping you see the world with more creative eyes; learn how to capture and organize your photos so you don’t lose track of them later; and edit the images to look their best.

We’ll spend a couple hours photographing in and around one of Seattle’s most vibrant locations, Pike Place Market. Then, over lunch, we will have time to ask and answer any questions you may have, from editing to organizing photos.

Bring a camera you’re comfortable using—whether that’s a DSLR, mirrorless, or mobile phone—and an eye for exploration. I’ll provide beverages and snacks during the afternoon session; the cost of lunch is up to each attendee. To edit the images you capture, bring a laptop or tablet; you don’t need any specific photo-editing software. If you don’t have a device to bring, you can follow along with the demonstration.

Participants will also receive copies of my books “Take Control of Your Digital Photos” and “Take Control of Lightroom CC” (electronic copies, a $30 value, both published in 2018 by Take Control Books, takecontrolbooks.com)
