Photocombobulate #17 – Mistakes Were Made

Jeff and Mason look at embarrassing photo mistakes they’ve made and try to find a way forward.

They say “learn from your mistakes,” but they never mention that crushing feeling of inadequacy when you arrive at a beautiful location and realize all your camera batteries are charging at home, or your memory card is still connected to the laptop in your hotel room, or you forgot to change the camera’s ISO from the night before and now all your shots are noisy. In the latest episode of the Photocombobulate podcast, Mason Marsh and I unload the dirty laundry of our past mistakes, own up to how we can improve in the future, and acknowledge that, yes, we’ll make plenty more.
