They say “learn from your mistakes,” but they never mention that crushing feeling of inadequacy when you arrive at a beautiful location and realize all your camera batteries are charging at home, or your memory card is still connected to the laptop in your hotel room, or you forgot to change the camera’s ISO from the night before and now all your shots are noisy.
