Since writing the first edition of my book The iPad for Photographers, I’ve been interested in how apps can work with traditional cameras. Too often, it’s a bag of frustration. But not every time.
Cascable is an app that focuses on controlling cameras that have Wi-Fi built in, which is a slowly growing number. With Cascable on an iPhone or iPad, you can trigger the shutter without being near the camera, change shooting settings, and enable features like burst shooting that’s beyond the camera’s built-in features or time-lapse photography. It’s really well done.
