Working on a big, seemingly impossible deadline, so I’m taking occasional refuge away from words and processing photos. During the Oregon Wonders Photo Workshop I attended last fall, one of our stops was beautiful Multnomah Falls (and breakfast at the lodge there). It’s hard to find a shot that hasn’t been captured by thousands of people already, especially given that the people flow is pretty tightly controlled in the area. So I decided to not worry about grabbing the most unique shot and just try to make a good shot.
I like that the person on the bridge is facing away, but what I like more is that he’s alone. That bridge can get a lot of traffic at times. Sure, you could use something like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to erase people from the scene, but being patient paid off to avoid all that.
Okay, back to the writing. I hope you enjoy the shot as much as I needed to escape to it for a little while.
