Seattle Times column: Video Sharing Sites

My most recent Practical Mac column for the Seattle Times on Saturday was about popular video-sharing sites such as YouTube.com, and how to upload movies to them from your Mac.

As it happens, if you own a relatively recent Mac and a digital camera (either a camcorder or still camera that can shoot video, which now includes most models), you already have a complete movie-distribution system. You can use iMovie HD to import and edit footage, or just grab a short clip from your digital camera using iPhoto. The question is no longer, “Can I get my work out there?” Instead it’s, “What’s the best way to share my video?”
