When we interviewed the wonderful Julieanne Kost in episode 27, Mason and I were both surprised to hear her admit to feeling like an imposter in her chosen field. That struck a chord with us, as we both often deal with imposter syndrome in our work and our photography. We’re exposed to many photographers on social media and in books who seem like they have it all together, whose confidence has no bounds, but the truth is that everyone feels some level of “someday they’re going to find out that I don’t know what I’m doing.” In the latest Photocombobulate episode, we drill down on what drives imposter syndrome in photographers, and how to overcome it.
