Photocombobulate #26: Chasing Fall Color

It’s autumn, which means it’s time to hunt for fall color! Mason and I loaded up in his van and headed to the North Cascades and found… well, you’ll have to listen to find out. (Spoiler: lots of wildfire smoke, but also some surprising photo opportunities!)

In a rare feat of scheduling, Mason Marsh and I got away for a weekend in search of fall color in the North Cascades of Washington State. In the latest episode of the Photocombobulate podcast, we break down our trip and focus on a lot of challenges we ran into, from a very late autumn and no color in some places to persistent wildfire smoke that looks to be the norm in the American West in early October now. Still, we came away with some great photos, good stories, and of course good coffee.
