Photocombobulate #25: Pete Souza!

We interviewed Obama’s Chief Official White House Photographer on the latest episode of the Photocombobulate podcast about his new book and his historic time in the White House.

Friends, if you saw me buzzing a few weeks ago, this was why. I am beyond excited to present the latest episode of the Photocombobulate podcast, with very special guest Pete Souza! Pete was Obama’s Chief Official White House Photographer, and his new book The West Wing and Beyond: What I Saw Inside the Presidency came out this week.

Pete Souza is a personal photographic hero, and his book is a fantastic look behind the scenes of the presidency, not just the Obama White House. If you know me or follow me on social media, you’ll know that I love behind-the-scenes stuff, and the American presidency is such a compelling subject (regardless of who’s occupying the office). So often we focus on the person in the Oval Office, but it takes thousands of highly skilled people to make a presidency happen. I can’t overstate how much I like this book.

In the podcast episode, Mason and I had a great in-depth conversation with Pete about working in the presidential bubble, storytelling through photos, and much more.

This is a great episode, and I hope you’ll help us spread the word!
