I’m squeezing one last photo workshop into 2018! So far this year I’ve done three single-day workshops in downtown Seattle (one public and two private), and thought that was it. But it’s the holidays, and Pike Place Market and the downtown area is so beautifully lit up, I couldn’t resist just one more: Saturday, December 1, 2018.
The schedule is slightly shifted, due to the fewer daylight hours this time of year, which works to our advantage. We’ll spend a couple hours photographing in and around the market. Next, we’ll grab lunch and head over to the nearby Makers Space, where we’ll settle in for three hours of instruction on editing and organizing your images. And then, as the sun goes down and the city lights come on, we’ll capture the sunset over Puget Sound and the brilliant neon lights of the market. This is one of those times where I’ll be hoping for a sprinkling of rain to give us great reflections on the streets. When we’re finished, you can spend the evening catching up on your holiday shopping or just enjoying the festive downtown atmosphere.
I’ll guide a small group through historic and photogenic areas of downtown Seattle, helping you see the world with more creative eyes; learn how to capture and organize your photos so you don’t lose track of them later; and edit the images to look their best. Bring whatever camera you’re familiar with—or even that DSLR you’ve been meaning to master but haven’t had a good opportunity to use.
Participants will also receive copies of my books “Take Control of Your Digital Photos” and “Take Control of Lightroom CC” (electronic copies, a $30 value, both published in 2018 by Take Control Books, takecontrolbooks.com)
