My wife is out of town for a few days, which means I get to watch all the television I want. Mostly, this includes shows she has no interest in seeing (such as the documentary Gunner Palace, which arrived today via Netflix). Now I’m sittting on the couch, checking email, and scrolling through channels, one of which is the new Current.tv.
Current is Al Gore’s new network that promises to take advantage of all this digital content we’re all creating, and do so with the hippest angle imaginable. At least, that’s the impression I get from watching a few of the Current “pods,” or themed segments. While poking around on the Web site at the same time (which is nicely tied into what’s currently on TV), I came across the Current Studio VC2 Survival Guide, a Flash-based overview of what you need to create Current content and submit it. It’s worth checking out if you’re looking for the basics of good video production.
