Photocombobulate #35: Flash Photography with Roberto Valenzuela

Learn how to light with artificial light in our conversation with best-selling author Roberto Valenzuela.

The latest episode of the Photocombobulate podcast is out, and boy do we have a fantastic guest for you! I first met Roberto Valenzuela at the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photography International) conference a few years ago. He’s one of those creative people with boundless energy and a genuine desire to help other photographers. That makes sense when you learn that he spent his early career as a grade school teacher. He’s written several best-selling books for Rocky Nook, including his latest, Picture Perfect Flash, which incorporates an approach to lighting that was new to my co-host Mason Marsh and I. In this lively conversation, we talk about Roberto’s system, dealing with various lighting situations, and the discipline that he applies to improving his craft.
