Photomator 3.1 Review at DPReview

I review the latest version of Photomator for DPReview

I know this has been a busy week for announcements—it’s like JeffCarlson.com has woken up! But as you can tell, I’ve been a very busy boy lately, which is always a good thing.

DPReview has just published my review of Photomator, the photo editing app from Pixelmator Team that runs on macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. The Mac version was a big deal when it was released earlier this year—Kirk McElhearn and I devoted an entire episode of the PhotoActive podcast to it, and we both came away liking it a lot. Kirk, in fact, is using it as his main photo editor. It’s aggressively employing machine learning technologies in ways that should help novice and expert photographers get better editing results, and do them faster.

But that was a fairly cursory look, so for DPReview I dug in for a full in-depth review. It was a lot of work, and I’m happy with how it turned out. Read it here: Photomator 3.1 review: A machine-learning augmented photo editor for Mac, iPhone and iPad.
