Saturday was spent away from the computer, enjoying a 7-mile hike to Carbon Glacier (near Mount Rainier) and back. The weather here in the Seattle area has been spectacular the past week, so my friend Brett suggested we actually get out in it. The hike is fairly easy, which means my out-of-shape bod was panting a bit on the steeper portions of the ascent (it’s a 1200 foot elevation gain from the start to the glacier), but I wasn’t overwhelmed.
