Apple – H.264 FAQ

The National Association of Broadcasters conference (NAB) starts this week, so expect a flood of news coming from Las Vegas. I had hoped to be there this year, but didn’t get my act in gear early enough, and couldn’t honestly justify paying $300 per night at the hotel rooms that were left. Lots of rumors suggest that Apple will be releasing new software (updated Final Cut Pro HD, Motion, and maybe something new), and perhaps hardware (Power Mac G5 rev).

In the meantime, Apple has just put up some additional pages of information about QuickTime 7 and H.264 (H.264 FAQ and H.264 information). This is a big future for Apple, I think, so it’s worth paying attention to now.
