I’ve been trying to come up with just a few things that illustrate why the U.S.A. should no longer support Bush. Even if you don’t like Kerry, I believe it’s clear that Bush has been bad for the country and can only make things worse if re-elected.
- Today’s New York Times reports that the Bush administration failed to secure 380 tons of high explosives, which some officials believe are now being used against U.S. troops. What’s worse is that the administration has known about it for at least a year, and actively encouraged Iraqis to cover up the news.
- The Nation has compiled a list of 100 non-arguable facts about Bush and his administration.
- The Program on International Policy Attitudes released a study that indicates the majority of Bush supporters are poorly-informed about the administration’s actions and opinions (a testament to the White House’s success at spin).
It comes down to this: even if you’re a die-hard, life-long Republican, it’s clear that this administration has failed repeatedly, covered-up its failures, and lies to you. Do you really want a government that lies to you as pathologically as the Bush administration has? No! Open your eyes, restore your dignity, and vote for Kerry on November 2.
