DV Backup

I don’t claim to keep up-to-date with everything – there just isn’t that much time. Which is why it’s great to run across cool things in other places, such as the latest issue of Macworld that arrived today. Dan Frakes writes about DV Backup, a utility for using your camcorder and MiniDV tapes as a data backup. After all, video data is being written as ones and zeros, so why not store what’s on your hard disk too? According to Dan, you can get about 10 GB of data on a 1-hour MiniDV tape. It’s not a complete backup solution, but worth looking into.
