Install iDVD 3 from iLife disc (non-SuperDrive)

Thanks to “pmiles” on Apple’s iDVD discussion boards, who posted the following steps to install iDVD 3 on a non-SuperDrive Mac from the iLife installer disc:

1. Insert the iLife DVD

2. Highlight the iLife Installer

3. Select Show Original from the File menu

4. Open the Packages folder

5. Double-click the iDVD.pkg

6. This should now allow the installation of iDVD.

Note: The computer MUST have at least a DVD drive (iLife disc is a DVD). You will need to update to iDVD 3.0.1.
